  1. John L. Carey Scholarship Program.

This is AICPA’s grant for accountancy students. It is $5,000 for 10 students and applications are opened from December to April every year.

  1. NSHMBA Foundation Scholarship Program.

This one varies from $2,500 to $10,000 depending on the need and the application details of the candidates. Only for students from Hispanic lineage, graduate level.

  1. CEO of Tomorrow Scholarship.

History of academic achievements and excellent leadership abilities is what you need to get this one-time scholarship of $2,500.

  1. Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship.

ACFE offers this to students from accounting, executive leadership, finance and business management. ACFE chooses 29 winners and awards sums from $1,000 to $10,000 to each of them. Get ready with three recommendation letters, essays and minimum part-time enrollment in accredited school if you want to compete for these awards.

Finding the right scholarship can seem a lot like planning a battle. There are no advices that can give you 100% security that you will succeed but there are tips that can make your scholarship crusade much easier.

If you want to make a good impression and make your application to stand out from the pile, take the time to see what the organization that gives the scholarship really values. It won’t take you too much time but can add a lot to your essay evaluation. To get this easiest just read the page on the organization’s site where they describe their aims and values, aka “About us”.

  1. Community involvement helps a lot.

Volunteers are preferred when organizations choose to whom they give their money. If you are engaged in any kind of community service, your chances to get the desired scholarship rise with 15 to 20 %. Also this gives you wider list of possible scholarship offers because a lot of grants are given by non-profits that help others and they want to see the same in the people that receive their financial aid.

College scholarships according to the school?!

Do you know that some colleges offer scholarships to their students and other financial awards by the school itself? Check the following list and see if your school is among them (the list is not complete so check the college’s office to see if they can offer you financial aid).

  1. University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

They offer variety of scholarship programs mainly for online students. Professional Development and Project Management Online Learning Scholarship is one of the options. For more information check their website: http://www.uwplatt.edu/distance-education#section3 .

  1. Kansas State University.

This is one more of the universities that offer their own scholarships: Allan D. Sicat is scholarship for active duty military or military veterans seeking an undergraduate or degree in a distance education program. For Maurine Allison O’Bannon Memorial Scholarship can apply students over 25 years old with minimum three credit hours. And Robert F. Sykes Scholarship is for engineering students if they are enrolled in the programs in engineering management or civil engineering; the criteria for this scholarship include 3.5 GPA and one year engineering experience.

  1. University of Great Falls.

They offer Competitive Academic Awards to Catholic High School Scholars and UGF Scholars. The awards may reach up to $16,000 for the full tuition. The application includes campus interview and essay; you should be full-time student and have on-campus residency and participation in campus activities along with other criteria. BSU provides three types of educational scholarships: leadership, talent and academic ones. They also have automatic freshman grants which are renewable for the time of the education: Campus Honor, Presidential Scholarship, University and Academic Achievement. They have slightly different criteria but for all of them you can apply with only one biography. They also offer special scholarships meant for American Indians.

  1. Washington State University.

WSU offers over 700 different awards and scholarships for the students in its different academic programs, departments and colleges. Among them are Transfer Achievement Award, Campus Visit Scholarships, Need Based Assistance and Destination WSU: Out of state for students who are not residents of Washington State. Grants for online degree in business

Getting a business degree is always a good investment, but it requires a lot of money even when you are making it online. An average online business degree costs about $30,000 and this is sufficient amount of money that not everybody can afford. What possible income sources you can find to support such undertake?

The fastest way if you are really big optimist, is to take a loan. But in long-term plan it may be not the brightest idea, you’ve ever had. There is another way, it’s usually slower and not 100% sure to succeed, but it worth trying – searching for and getting student scholarships. Plural because if you search carefully you will find that some grants allow combining or receiving additional amounts of money through other scholarship programs.

In this sense the online universities are no different from the ordinary ones. They can also present you with information and offers for possible grants. Fr example, if you want to get MBA, you need to go through the standard application: fill FASFA, write all needed essays, application letters and so on. But what grants exactly can work for you?

Except the federal grants for online education that we mentioned in another one of our materials, you should also keep in mind these couple of options:

  1. The scholarships of AMVETS National Service Foundation.

There is one special condition to apply for these grants: you need to be daughter or son or grandchild of or be veteran/active military yourself. Also you are eligible if you are descendant of diseased veteran. Not all programs are applicable to online education but The Henry G. Huestis and Dr. Aurelio M. Caccomo Memorial Scholarship are.

  1. Grants and scholarships of Moody Bible Institute.

  1. Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship.

Zonta International gives these awards to women enrolled in business management educational program (both master’s degree and undergraduate students are eligible). You are not eligible if you are member or employee of Zonta. Every region where there are Zonta clubs offer awards of $1,000 and also the organization gives twelve $7,000 awards to international students.

Look for other opportunities once you’ve chosen a school that you want to attend. Don’t forget that many private organizations offer awards.

There are countless opportunities for every student that wants to pursue higher education in every possible field and new and new fields come out today. And as the number and the specifications of the fields grow, so do the grants that you can get to help you with your education. But not all the students are just now finished high school type. Some people by one reason or another has postponed this stage and they have decided to do it in later moment of their life. These students are called nontraditional and there are education grants that aim at helping them with that task. Here are a couple of examples:

  1. Capture the dream Inc’s Single Parent Scholarship.

You can apply for this scholarship every year from the beginning of April till the end of June. It is opened for single parents from California who are also college-bound students. They give $1,000 to help single parents to obtain four or two-year degree. The applicants may be full-time or part-time students that are residents of the Bay Area. The criteria that will be evaluated are the quality of your essay, GPA, demonstrated leadership, history of community service and financial need.

  1. Nashville Athena Scholarships for Non-Traditional Students.

These grants for education are meant for women who reside in Wilson, Davidson, Robertson, Williamson, Rutherford Sumner and Cheatham counties. The winner will receive $5,000 and the second in row will get $2,500. This money should be used to help the winners to pursue their career ambition through education. To get these student scholarships you must be graduate student or to have obtained your GED; to have finished high school at least five years ago, to be an applicant or student in any undergraduate program no matter in which university and to be able to demonstrate your need of financial assistance or aid.

  1. Andersen Nontraditional Scholarship for Women’s education and Retraining (ANSWER).

This is scholarship for women of age 25 or more who raise school age child and are trying to get four-year undergraduate or two-year nursing degree, the field is of no importance. You must also be resident of a county in South or North Carolina and to pursue a degree in some of the local universities.

Grants for unique careers

Believe it or not you can find funding for education no matter what sphere you have chosen. Also for some fields there are specific grants that you can use out of the common ones. Here is a list of couple of scholarships for college and the institutions that offer them that can help you get the desired profession:

  1. The education grants of The American Association of Cereal Chemists International (AACC).

They offer grants for graduate students that want to make researches in the cereal science. If you her this for the first time, don’t worry, you are not the only one. AACC gives $2,000, $2,500, or $3,000 graduate students fellowships – the pogran includes both science and technology. To join this program, of course, you should be Association’s member.

  1. Grants of the Massage Therapy Foundation.

These are very generous grants for not only organization’s members but also for individuals that want to make a research in the massage therapy field. These grants are also awarded to a group projects and they range from $1,000 to $30,000. The purpose is to promote this practice, to see how the people take it and what are the attitudes toward it; how specific applications of the massage therapy can affect people’s health and what is the role of the massage in the health care services.

  1. National Potato Council Scholarship.

This is $10,000 annual award for graduate students with higher aspirations. They should be interested in the support of Potato Industry by Agribusiness. The criteria are past academic achievements; potato-related area of graduated study (for example Entomology, Agricultural Engineering, Crop and Soil Sciences, Agronomy, Food Sciences, Plant Pathology or Horticulture), leadership abilities. You can apply every year till June 30th.

  1. AACT’s John Kitt Memorial Scholarship.

This is one sweet scholarship of $5,000 anounced by the American Association of Candy Technologists. It’s non-renewable award that is opened for application till 15th April 2015. To get it you need to be sophomore, Senior or Junior student; to demonstrate interest in confectionery technology; to attend or to be about to start accredited North American university or college.

  1. Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship Award.

It is for students who want to make crystallographically-oriented research. To apply you need to submit CV, supportive letter, descriptive summary of your desired research and expected graduation date; all in PDF format.
